It has been a while since I communicated the many things God is doing with inLight Consulting. I share them for your encouragement; that you would continue praying for our wisdom and strength.
God continues to leverage His investment in The Map Maker. As mentioned in our last newsletter, the parable is being translated into Farsi – for use in Iran. Additionally, we are publishing the Spanish version to Amazon.com; and waiting for funding to print The Map Maker’s Guide (for leaders) in Ecuador.
The Lord has encouraged me in a number of new directions for writing: A Moment with the Map Maker (devotion); The Pastor as Workplace Leader (ChurchCentral.com blog); and, a collection of discussion questions for each of The Map Maker lessons (the beginnings of a student guide?).
Now that The Foundation articles are complete, we are initiating a project to turn them into a book. The project will include a weekly study with a group of leaders, to hone each lesson. This will be done virtually, using a to-be-determined social media platform. Let me know if you want to be involved. In fact, you might want to use this as an opportunity to disciple a few people in your spheres of influence.
The Lord continues to provide opportunities for one-on-one discipling. We recently began working with three new individuals (and perhaps one more). The Lord always custom designs the process for each Workplace Leader – an exciting adventure.
Lastly, the inLight Board has encouraged me to begin doing a podcast. Honestly, this is an adventure outside my comfort zone. I confess the need for someone to help me with the pilot (hint, hint; wink, wink).
The absolutely most important thing you can do for us is pray. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads you for the advancement of our Lord’s kingdom and the glory of our Father in heaven.
Also, each of these projects requires some level of funding. If you would like to participate more closely with us in this great adventure, please let me know. I am available to speak to other individuals and groups about any of these topics.
