More than a hundred times, I have said or written:
God has a way for everything.
I will likely say or write it a hundred times more:
God has a way for everything.
Honestly, I cannot seem to say it enough:
God has a way for everything.
At this point, I am not sure if this is an introduction to a new series, an interlude to something else, or just a random thought God won’t let me put down (except on paper).
God has a way for everything.
Most of our troubles – personal, family, fellowship, community, etc. – result from us (individually or corporately) ignoring or rebelling against God’s ways.
God has a way for everything.
Another word for “way” is “process”. God is a process-oriented problem solver. It’s important to note that He doesn’t just use process to solve problems; He creates the process. He doesn’t just know how to use them to His advantage and profit; He created them with His maximum advantage and profit in mind. Think about that for a moment.
God has a way for everything.
God created the process of salvation to solve the problem of our rebellion. He created the process of faith to solve the problem of allowing and encouraging mere humans to lay hold of His grace, for ourselves and those we serve. Sanctification and transformation are processes God uses to set us apart and prepare us for participation in the good work that glorifies Him.
God has a way for everything.
God has a way for disciplining our children, running a business, operating a church, and hundreds of other big things we (individually and corporately) are responsible for in this life. God’s ways are above our own (Isaiah 55:9), more so in the big things. Consequently, many simply do not know them, for they do not have ears to hear or eyes to see. Sadly, many with seeing eyes and hearing ears choose not to search out God’s ways or to employ them.
God’s way is ALWAYS the best way.
A strong argument can be made that God has a way for even the most mundane and simple problems of life. During our formative years, we learned God’s ways regarding order, cleanliness, and purpose from our parents, guardians, teachers, or peers.
God’s way is ALWAYS the best way.
God has a way for every problem, big or small, that we face each and every day.
God’s way is ALWAYS the best way.
This decade will likely be the most chaotic any of us will face in our lifetimes. God has a way for us to navigate that chaos for His glory and our good.
God’s way is ALWAYS the best way.
God allows and creates chaos to draw us back to Himself AND His ways. We will see what the He has in mind (I am just the pen), but this seems like the introduction to a series of articles on the ways of God.
In the meantime, I hope you have been encouraged to seek out the ways of God for both the big and the small problems you are facing. You will find God’s ways in the Bible, in discipling relationships, or in your time with Him each day.
Please don’t miss this: God is inviting you to invest some time, make a list, lean into Him, and simply ask, “God, what is your way for this?” Seek and you will find – that’s His promise.
God bless you with wisdom and faith to find His higher way, for yourself and those entrusted to your care.
Humbly yours and forever His,
Rob
