inLight Adventure Newsletter – March

Our new book, The Storms Have Only Just Begun, should be out in late March or early April and include the following Preface. Let me know what you think.

Back in 2015, we wrote a small eBook, entitled A Storm is Coming, in response to the warnings made by Jonathan Cahn in his book, The Harbinger (2012). Cahn suggested an economic storm would occur in America sometime in 2015. Many took steps to protect themselves, mostly in a physical way (i.e., prepping). A Storm is Coming encouraged Christians to focus first on their spiritual preparation.

The economic storm did not occur, at least not with the timing and devastation anticipated. Prophesy can be tricky, particularly when one attempts to include dates. However, God works all things to the good of those who love Him and are called to His purposes (Romans 8:28).

God used The Harbinger and A Storm is Coming to call many watchmen to their posts. Many Christians began to reassess where they had placed their trust. Each one has since grown in their understanding of God’s kingdom and the importance of faith in His working for their good.

And now, here at the beginning of a new decade, the storms have arrived like hurricanes, in the form of world-wide pandemic, economic recession, and social upheaval. The 2020s promise to be the most chaotic, storm-filled decade our generation has experienced. Will our houses withstand the storms?

As it was with A Storm is Coming, this book is primarily written to Christians who reside in the United States of America. However, storms are everywhere. Where would one go to escape the multi-faceted chaos that threatens the entire world in this decade?

Many of our brothers and sisters around the world have been weathering storms for most of their lives (e.g., Christians born into persecution and/or severe poverty). Even in the “free” world, it would be difficult to find a single individual – particularly a Christian – that has not experienced chaos and suffering in some form or another. Frankly, we shouldn’t be surprised. Jesus Christ promised tribulation.

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you [a]will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33.

Christians are resilient people, and Americans pride themselves in their ability to “weather any storm”. But these storms are different. The chaos that began in 2020 will likely continue for most of the coming decade and be uniquely pervasive, fierce, and disruptive.

Those already suffering major storms will not be as shocked and traumatized, becoming sources of encouragement and example to the rest. On the other hand, spiritually unprepared Christians will find their foundations suspect and their houses falling down around them. We hope and pray this book will help mitigate such a catastrophe and better prepare mature Christians to become houses of refuge, encouragement, and spiritual understanding.

God bless you with courage and wisdom for the storms that have only just begun.

Humbly yours and forever His,

Rob

Updates and Prayer Requests

The relaunch of our core mission – to help Christian leaders find joyful, Spirit-filled ministry – is progressing well. My involvement with the Atlanta-area Leadership Team for Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC) has been very encouraging. I am currently learning their systems and processes, learning new facilitation and coaching skills, and developing curriculum for the Atlanta market. This month, we will begin posting business leadership and ministry articles to the CBMC website. We continue to covet your prayers for grace and courage to hear God’s perfect plan and pursue His purposes for this season – with supernatural passion.

As we mentioned above, The Storms Have Only Just Begun will be out soon. Please pray for the marketing effort, that we would reach as many Christians as possible with this important word.

Please join me in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia, that this conflict would draw them closer to one another in Christ.

My heart continues to ache for our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. Please pray with me for their encouragement, protection, and faithfulness in the face of severe trial and tribulation. From my reading, I understand they are also praying for us.

Continue to pray for the workplace leaders you know – for their transformation into mighty men and women of God; that they would boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let me know how I can help you minister to them (we have tons of resources for you to share).

Know that your prayers have been effectual the last sixteen years of ministry here at inLight. A close friend has said (more than once) that God is still preparing us for the good work that will glorify Him. Please keep praying for us as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Partnering with inLight Consulting

God’s purpose for inLight Consulting is beyond human capability. We are desperately dependent on Him; and would have it no other way. We are grateful for the continued support of those that trust God to use this ministry to further His kingdom. Please pray for our vision and mission.

Share the truths you find here with the leaders in your life; it will make them free.

God bless you with wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; and may He give you the grace and courage to walk in the work He has prepared for you.

Humbly yours and forever His,

Rob
