Open Letter to Supporters

Dear Family and Friends,

We hope this update finds all of you well; and well blessed.  The LORD is calling out the Body of Christ in America to prayer, unity and truth.  Houses of prayer are springing up; individuals are seeing the need for Christ in each other; and a new desire for the truth has set in.  He is allowing and creating disturbances in peoples’ lives – to get their attention, so that He might encourage them to draw closer to Himself.  We pray that you are finding yourselves “disturbed”.

The LORD has continued to affirm our missionary call to the Body of Christ in Haralson and Douglas Counties.  There is so much opportunity to feed hunger individuals and organizations the meal that is Christ.  It is an amazing thing that He would allow us to participate in His work.  We don’t deserve His attention, much less the opportunity and responsibility to bring people to Him, to each other and to the truth.

2006-christmas-card-photo_cropped.jpg The last three months have been a time of personal growth, expanded relationships and waiting on the LORD’s timing for the strategy He has given us.  Dying to self is painful.  Giving up our control of time, plans and people feels like a wrestling match with God.  We are not so naïve to think that we have come to the end of ourselves; but – Praise God! – He is able and willing to complete the work.

In the meantime, the LORD has provided many opportunities for ministry into the lives of Christian Leaders, particularly in Haralson County.  He has used us to plant the seeds of transformational truth through Bible studies, meetings of the Ministerial Association and the Transformation Team, and individual conversations.  The word of God is so powerful!  Even the meaning of words (e.g., church, kingdom, and transformation) are edifying and encouraging to our brothers and sisters.

Your continued support is a great encouragement to us.  He has built our faith and challenged us to trust Him for the provision.  We are thankful that He has kept us relatively healthy and is continuing to mature us individually and as a family. Please note that we are now incorporated as a 501(c)(3).  You can remit your donations to inLight Consulting, Inc. and mail them to our home address (we will operate out of a home office for a while).  For those that need to know, our EIN is 20-8423139.

Most importantly, we want you to know that your prayers are the most precious thing you can give us.  Please continue to pray for us as the LORD leads, and call us with any questions or comments.

Dying to see His glory,

Rob
