Shepherds are responsible to their Master for the spiritual, psychological, and emotional safety of His people. Can you imagine a pastor, preacher, teacher, or leader of any kind ignoring the dangers that lie ahead in the digital world? The current damage will be increased – perhaps exponentially – with the advent of AI and the use of LLMs. AI is not going away; it cannot be unplugged; and those entrusted to our care are mostly unaware of the danger it poses for individuals, families, and fellowships.

Reading this, you will experience a challenging irony: the enchanting power of an LLM to summarize a 300-page MIT study on the dangers of its use. AI and LLMs are not going away. Many will be caught up in the enchanting power of AI LLMs. Those of us with Godly wisdom must step up and forward to warn everyone entrusted to our care. We must become like the Sons of Issachar, “who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do (1Chronicles 12:32).”
